Hi! I’m Deven! I am a freshmen at Round Rock High school and am 14 years of age. For me, Halloween has always meant something special to me because its very close to my birthday. I really admire our service workers and I can not even comprehend how physically hard an exhausting those careers are. That’s why I wanted to do this. I wanted to help in any way I could, and so here I am.
I started this project in 2025, when my brother was in his senior year. We decided to both work on this project together, as Jahan could supervise the transition, and made sure I knew what I was doing. I absolutely loved doing this with him. My favorite part was when we delivered the candy to the troops at the local Army standby base. I loved seeing their faces and how appreciative they were.
I would like to give a special nod to the founder, Jahan Hafiz, my brother, who is now at the University of Texas at Austin. Him, along with the founding officers, are pictured in the bottom right.
