Letter Writing 2020

Our first ever project occurred in August 2020, when we kickstarted our organization with some simple letter writing. During the outbreak of COVID-19, many military personal bravely continued to serve during these times of crisis, and we decided to commemorate them by writing letters from our local RBC community. Together, we successfully sent 20 letters to those on the front lines, who continued to put themselves on the line during those tough times.

Halloween Candy Drive 2020

In 2020, we held our first candy drive, partnering with a non-profit called Operation Gratitude. For two weeks from the end of October to November, we collected spare Halloween candy from around the neighborhood, using Facebook to spread our mission. After the two weeks, we packaged all the candy and donated it to Operation Gratitude, who would distribute it to military personnel and veterans. The candy drive was a huge success, where we successfully donated 360 pounds of candy to those in need!

Halloween Candy Drive 2021

In 2021, we hosted our local candy drive for the second year, continuing to put in the effort despite the global pandemic being at an all time high. We continued to drive around and collect candy, but we made sure to stay 100% safe and always wore masked, practiced social distancing, and sprayed down all the candy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Despite much of our community being stuck indoors, we successfully managed to donate 200 pounds to Operation Gratitude!

Halloween Candy Drive 2022

For the third year, we ran our Halloween candy drive, this time determined to be even bigger and better than our previous year. We advertised our cause on Facebook and other socials, drove around our neighborhood collecting candy, and worked countless hours marketing, sorting, and packaging the goods. In the end, we received 275 pounds of candy to donate to a nonprofit called Soldiers Angels.

We are so proud of him and his community service. This small act from him will have a huge impact for operation shoebox.
